Sponsor Zync

Zync is free, open-source, and always will be. Sponsoring helps cover the cost of code signing certificates so Windows and macOS users never see a security warning.

FUND_FLOW // Goals

[100% TO CERTS]

100% of sponsorship funds go toward maintaining the yearly code signing certificates. Signing and notarization remove most installation friction — though Windows SmartScreen can still warn until the publisher builds reputation, so we avoid promising a completely warning-free install.

macOS$99 / year

Apple Developer Certificate

Required to notarize Zync for macOS. Without it, Gatekeeper blocks the app with a "damaged" warning on every install.

Windows$200–400 / year

Microsoft EV Code Signing

Required to prevent Windows SmartScreen from blocking the installer. EV certificates take time to build reputation but fully eliminate the warning.

SIGNING_STATUS // Current

[UNSIGNED]

Zync is currently unsigned. The app is safe to use — you can follow the bypass instructions in the installation guide — but signing removes the friction entirely.

macOS — Gatekeeper shows “Zync is damaged and can’t be opened” or “from an unidentified developer” on first launch.
Windows — SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC” when running the installer.
